Guest Services Director Trainee

Full-Time | Salaried | Onsite

Lake Yale Baptist Conference Center – Leesburg, FL

Reports to: Executive Director

This Is More Than Hospitality. It’s Ministry.

Lake Yale Baptist Conference Center exists to serve the local church and glorify Christ by creating spaces where people can rest, connect, and encounter God. Hospitality is not a department here—it’s a calling.

We are seeking a Guest Services Director Trainee: someone who loves people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes initiative, and—most importantly—desires to grow as a servant-leader in Christian ministry. This is a full-time, onsite, salaried role designed for someone who wants to be trained, discipled, and developed toward future leadership in guest services and ministry operations.

If you’re looking for a role where faith, leadership development, and real responsibility intersect—keep reading.

Who This Role Is For

This position is ideal for someone who is:

  • A committed follower of Jesus Christ, actively involved in a local Bible-believing church

  • Teachable, humble, and eager to learn from experienced ministry leaders

  • Gifted in communication, organization, and problem-solving

  • Drawn to hospitality as both a skill and a ministry

  • Comfortable wearing multiple hats and adapting as needs arise

  • Interested in long-term growth and leadership development

What You’ll Be Trained To Do

As a Director Trainee, you’ll work alongside our Guest Services leadership team and gradually take on increasing responsibility in the following areas:

Guest & Group Relations

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for guests and group leaders, representing Lake Yale with warmth, professionalism, and Christ-like character

  • Respond to guest and group inquiries promptly, clearly, and graciously

  • Assist in vetting prospective groups to ensure alignment with Lake Yale’s mission and doctrinal commitments

Hospitality & Resource Coordination

  • Help coordinate meeting spaces, lodging, and shared resources to best serve guest needs

  • Communicate guest expectations, needs, and schedules across departments for seamless execution

  • Clearly and empathetically communicate site policies, procedures, and expectations to guests

Leadership & Problem Solving

  • Assist in handling guest concerns, conflicts, and unexpected situations with calm confidence

  • Serve as an on-site liaison during events, helping resolve issues and support group leaders

  • Learn how to balance grace and firmness while upholding policies

Administrative & Strategic Support

  • Assist with reservations for new groups and rebooking returning groups

  • Help compile and analyze reports related to group retention and growth

  • Support executive leadership with policy updates, rate changes, and operational planning

Team & Ministry Integration

  • Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure unified guest care

  • Step in where needed to support the broader ministry of Lake Yale

  • Grow in leadership, decision-making, and ministry-minded thinking

Expectations & Working Environment

  • Full-time, salaried, onsite position at Lake Yale Baptist Conference Center

  • Flexible schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends based on group needs

  • Fast-paced, people-facing environment requiring adaptability and attention to detail

  • A posture of humility, initiative, and continuous improvement

Spiritual & Cultural Fit (This Matters to Us)

Lake Yale is an unapologetically Christian ministry.

Applicants must:

  • Be a committed follower of Jesus Christ

  • Be actively involved in a local Bible-believing church (preferably Baptist)

  • Demonstrate a lifestyle and character consistent with biblical values

  • Have a heart for ministry and serving others for God’s glory, not personal recognition

We are looking for someone who doesn’t just do hospitality—but believes in it as a reflection of the Gospel.

Why Lake Yale?
